BRAND NEW RELEASE!
My first, formal, public performance was 32 years ago - to the very day I'm typing this - 4/20/1980.

Yeah, I skipped the show too.

However, Ma & Pa said it was, "Really... interesting." How, you might ask, does one have a public performance and NOT show up?

Tape.

That's right. My first compositions (Oh geeze! Not a good sign; he's using posh descriptives!) were recordings utilizing musique concrète (grrr, now he goes all French on us!) and the venerable ElectroComp EML-100 & EML-200 analog, monophonic synthesizers. Wonderful beasts with lots of knobs and cords. The show was at the VCU Music Auditorium in Richmond VA.

Electronic Music: "Stockhausen's Cage"

Now about the new album; nope, this ain't a "Best of" or a "Greatest Hits" album. See, that would infer an arc in my "career" that doesn't exist and would resemble something akin to total delusion on my part (a little delusion goes a long way). Seventeen tracks in no particular order covering 1980 - 2007 that somehow magically work together.

No, instead think of this collection as a retrospective; stuff I recorded waaaaay back when that didn't have a home on any prior albums and, some stuff from some albums that no longer fit where they once did. Regardless, I hope this odd jumble of nearly 30 years worth of my music maybe finds some friends in this world. If not, so be it.
Best & grins folks! MR
